DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) transmits data over traditional copper telephone lines at speeds higher than were previously possible with dial-up modems or ISDN. DSL also allows voice and data to travel along the same copper wires so you can use the Internet without tying up your phone line.
There are two varieties of DSL service available: ADSL and SHDSL.
DSL option 1: SHDSL (Copperoptix)
SHDSL (Single-pair High-speed Digital Subscriber Line) is the fastest DSL technology to date. Our flagship Internet access product, Openface is proud to be the first company in Quebec to offer this very fast and cost effective service to customers on our own SHDSL high-speed network.
Data travels downstream and upstream at the same rate of 9.2 Mbps—which is comparable to more expensive fiber-optic connections. SHDSL is ideal for companies who need fast and stable outbound data for Internet server hosting, multimedia hosting and small virtual LAN applications. We also offer a SHDSL Internet access service at speeds of 4.6 Mbps.
DSL option 2: ADSL
ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) data travels downstream at 7.0 Mbps and upstream at 1 Mbps. Therefore, ADSL is ideal for companies who have a higher demand for downloads than for uploads.

Openface installs the appropriate DSL modem at your location to create an “always-on” dedicated connection between your office and the Openface Internet backbone.
